Met the boyfriend - Brian!!! Finally! Nikki made breakfast, we played with the grandkitty's, grilled Brian, ate a yummy meal, and packed up for a couple of days away with the two of them!
Garden of the Gods, rock formations, Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs. We ate dinner at The Loop in Manitou Springs. Stayed the night at Eagle Motel which was a cute older place, well maintained, and played cards for a while & then fell asleep in anticipation of PIKE'S PEAK! and the Cog railroad.

Out of the brown ground and or trees sprouts these large red rocks.....amazing!

This looks like it could fall over with the wind blowing. At the bottom left of the big rock you can just see a minivan in the background - to give you an idea of the size of this rock.
