September 25th, Saturday

We saw several wind farms while traveling on I-80. I wasn't able to get a picture of them. There were what looked like 50 to 100 large wind turbines on top of  a hill and stretching out for quite a ways.

Stopped at Heartland, Nebraska at the Museum of Military vehicles. The gentlemen where very nice, explained the different equipment and when it was used. They had vehicles inside and out - guns, vehicles, ammunition, tanks, planes, choppers....

We thought these were pretty interesting, there was a lot of equipment to see.

Then on to Gothenburg, Nebraska and we stopped at the Pony Express Station. This was moved here from a stop on the Pony Express.

Poor David......he's not gonna get that horse to go with him! Nice metal sculpture, though. It would of looked nice in my yard!

Then we made a stop in Ogallala at the petrified wood museum, really cool stuff, and then up the hill to - Boot Hill.

I wanted a horse of my own, so I tried to convince these two to come home with me....it didn't work!

Last stop of the day was at Lake Ogallala and Lake Macougnahey.
